Can you win in the NFL and be disappointed? It's certainly a question Chiefs fans are considering this week as the wins pile up despite sloppy play all over the board. Stan Weber joins us to take a hard look at what the Chiefs have to do in order to make it to the Super Bowl.
The AFC contenders had a hard time of it this weekend but keep winning. And there's a new contender nobody is talking about. Watch out.
Most bowl games don't feel important at all but that's not the case for the Missouri Tigers as they get ready to play Wake Forest Friday. It feels like this game will define their season.

The Chiefs get out of Houston with their 11th win of the season, and are once again crowned AFC West Champions. KC once again proves they aren't capable of playing someone else's game, so to speak. There's issues that need to be brought to attention. Miami couldn't quite knock off Buffalo in the snow, which would have given the Chiefs a total break this weekend after playing a generous C- game against the Texans.

It's not one of the crazier Patrick Mahomes stats you've ever heard but he will accomplish a first in Sunday's game. And it will make you question whether it's true.
Then, www.dannyclinkscale.com joins us for a Between the Lines reunion. Danny is back from a sweet vacation and we'll talk about a new downtown ballpark and the Chiefs matchup Sunday in Houston.
And finally, Lee Sterling of www.paramountsports.com has your points spread picks in the NFL and our local college bowl games.

Authorities in San Francisco have released some new details about the attack on Paul Pelosi. It is, however, a fraction of the information needed to learn anything and it is entirely political.
In DC, out of nowhere, Democrats are introducing the "Puerto Rico Status Act" as they are trying to get the island to become the 51st state and swing the balance of the Senate.
Consumer spending in November was down six times as much as economists thought.... are we in big trouble here?
The Chiefs have a great shot at being the one seed in the AFC playoffs and on this episode, we break down the schedule and chances for the Chiefs, Bills and Bengals
A soccer team owner in Italy has offered women for his players if they win a big match... you have to hear who this guy is, what he used to be and the term he used to describe his offer. Amazing.
And Ohio State fans are miffed their school offered a 5 star football recruit only $500,000 to play for the Buckeyes. According to a report, the player is receiving a total 5 year offer of $5.8 million from the University of Georgia. College athletics are quickly dying.

Royals Chairman John Sherman finally has me optimistic about a new ballpark downtown for the Royals. Sherman said at a public event Tuesday that private money will take care of the "major part" of the $2 billion project. At this point, there's no reason not to believe him. But it would sure be a first in this town if he comes through.
Peyton Manning told a story about Bill Belichick on the Manningcast Monday night that is just fantastic. You won't believe what the storied coach did to get a chance to meet model/actress Pamela Anderson.
It's a terribly uncomfortable topic I have avoided too long on this podcast but as the Democrats invite drag queens to the White House and hold ceremonies for faux "advancements" all around sexual preference, gender and identity... it's time to state the truth.
And how does this president sleep at night with what's happening at our southern border? One view of a video of police officer Courtney Bannick should be enough to prioritize stopping fentanyl from coming into our great country. You want to hear this story.

The founder of crypto mess FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried, has been arrested in the Bahamas. He's eventually coming to America and will be tried on multiple counts of fraud and like jailed for decades. This is good news as it's pretty much the only Democrat I can think of that has been popped since Joe Biden became president.
Inflation numbers released Tuesday were better than expected and the stock market is jumping. I'll take all the good news I can get.
Mississippi State football coach Mike Leach died Monday night after suffering a heart attack Sunday. "The Pirate" was one of a kind and is already missed.
Texas basketball coach Chris Beard is in really big trouble after being charged with assaulting his longtime girlfriend. And Chiefs coach Andy Reid has one message to Patrick Mahomes after his star tossed three interceptions: "Keep firing."

The Football Feast is jam packed with NFL playoff contenders as the Chiefs beat the Broncos again... this time in a nail biter that should have been a laugher. Turnovers continue to keep KC from being an elite team and Stan Weber is here to tell us if the Chiefs can fix it.
We also take a hard look at the Buffalo Bills who have a ton of problems on their own, even though they keep winning.
The Eagles are the only truly complete team in the league as they just roll the Giants.
And Mizzou coach Eli Drinkwitz sure had an interesting week.

Many of us thought this Border War was a return to the good old days of a real rivalry. Instead, we got another KU beatdown over a former rival that doesn't belong on the same floor. It was ugly, hideous and not entertaining.
That meant the most interesting thing to see was Mizzou football coach Eliah Drinkwitz holding up a sign about KU being cheaters. It rang hollow.
Also this weekend, the NFL is serious about teams not faking injuries on the field by issuing massive fines to the Bengals and Saints.

I can't wait for the Border War game with KU at MU Saturday as it just conjures up so many great memories and should be a competitive game that means a lot to many. It sort of signifies the start of college basketball season as the college football regular season is over.
The Chiefs are flexed out of prime time and get Ian Eagle calling their regional game against Denver Sunday. Does anyone else think a little humbling for the boys is a good thing?
Nuclear energy official Sam Brinton, who has lots of local ties, is charged again for stealing another bag from an airport carousel. We've got a non binary, serial thief on our hands.
And Lee Sterling of www.paramountsports.com is here with a full slate of NFL picks and lots of bowl games on the horizon.

WNBA star Brittney Griner is on her way home after 9 months in Russian prison and that's a good thing. The Biden administration traded a man named "the Merchant of Death" for Griner and some believe it was a very lopsided trade.
The manager at Olive Garden in Overland Park has been fired after demanding his employees prove they have a real reason to miss work. This is getting national attention.
Topeka High basketball coach George Lyons is claiming Valley Center High fans are racist and hollered slurs at his players last week. Did it happen or is this another of those cases where nobody heard it except one person?
Kansas City Star Editor Mike Fannin is out after 25 years at the paper. I competed hard against this man when he was Sports Editor but the more liberal he became, the more he got promoted. His DUI this summer was the final straw. Even though I never really liked him, I wish him the best in the future.
Patrick Mahomes, appearing on Carrington Harrison's 610 Sports Radio show, may have just made his strongest case yet for what kind of competitor he is. You have to hear what he said about the Bengals.
And K-State AD Gene Taylor did not celebrate on the field Saturday with his Big 12 Title winning football team. He was alone in a hotel room watching. You have to hear this.
