   Missouri Congressman Mark Alford  voted NO for the new debt ceiling deal in DC with a perfect answer why.  "If Washington likes it, I will vote no," Alford said.  This is wonderful common sense as we are all stuck watching these greedy pols spend more money than they have.  If your spouse acted like this, you'd file for divorce.

   Day one was so rough for Ron DeSantis he's already announced his "Campaign Kickoff" will be next week in Iowa.  It was only one day, but his reboot will matter.  People are watching him early and it hasn't been good.
   We've got a much better reason to boycott Target than their pride sections... it's their official response to what's going on.  Words matter and Target is clearly not interested in half of Americans shopping at their stores.
   After the Bud Light debacle, the parent company is offering a rebate that if you're a smart shopper, it equals free beer.  And not just Bud Light, their other brands, too.
   Andy Reid commented about the NFL's new kickoff fair catch rule matching the college game and says if this league doesn't watch out, it will soon be flag football.  Meanwhile, his star QB politely isn't commenting about his brother's legal troubles.

   Ron DeSantis makes it official, he's running for president.  How it all plays out is anyone's guess but I can promise you this... it's going to get wild very quickly.

   Rocker John Mellencamp is a reliably liberal sort these days but he's written a song about the crap show with homeless people in Portland and intentional or not, he's hammering on leftist policies.

   The Royals took 2 out of 3 from San Diego and are now 5-5 in their last ten.  The schedule is really, really easy the rest of this month.  Is a win streak in their future?
   The PGA Championship had a couple viral moments on day one as a player gets plunked by a ball while another falls in the mud.

   It only takes one tweet by Patrick Mahomes to get an entire city talking about the possibility of the NHL moving a team to KC.  In the past, KC has always been used and abused in such discussions with the NHL and NBA.  But we'll lay out a path that could actually make this possible.  A longshot, sure.  But have you ever seen a bigger longshot win than Mahomes with :13 seconds left?
   The PGA Championship is underway in Rochester, NY and Dustin Johnson is one of the faves now that he's healthy.  DJ has been dealing with a muscle injury in his back that was caused by, well, some aggressive actions at home.  It's a lot better than a couple famous home injuries suffered by George Brett and Salvy Perez.
