   What a time to be a sports fan in KC!  The Royals are heading to Baltimore for the playoffs this week, the Chiefs are one of two teams in the NFL that's 4-0 and NASCAR has a big playoff weekend in town.
   We have all that for you... and Stan Weber joins us for a Football Feast that includes problems with KU and progress at K-State.

   The Royals have just been amazing this week as their magic number is down to ONE!  After sweeping the Nats, the Royals get a huge hit from a Marlins rookie as they beat the Twins in 13 innings.  That rookie's dad played for the Royals... twice.
   The Chiefs catch a big break Sunday at the Chargers but it may not be enough.  This could be hard.  NASCAR's playoffs are at Kansas Speedway and the grand marshalls are pure gold friends of the podcast.
  New polling on cat ladies show that the stereotype is true.  Trump is about to give Zelensky a real dose of reality as they meet in New York.

   NY Mayor Eric Adams previously blasted the Midwest for not having a brand like New York.  Well, his brand now features Federal Indictments.  You won't believe who he blames.
   Meta/Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has reportedly had an awakening about DEI hires and government regulation and is now a Libertarian.  He's even called Trump twice this summer.  What's going on here?
   The Royals win again and their magic number is three.  It's getting easier to see them in the playoffs next week.

   It wasn't pretty and it sure wasn't easy but the Royals get a win Tuesday night coupled with a Twins loss and the magic number to make the post season is now 4.  Bobby Witt is pretty fired up.
  The Chiefs activate Kareem Hunt for this week's game against the Chargers.
  Fox News says Kamala has agreed to a debate but Trump has not.  Over on CNN, Jake Tapper pushes Pelosi's buttons as it appears they are playing things pretty fairly now.

   I have a laundry list of Dems going wild the past few days and it feels like their gameplan is if they say and do enough outrageous things, it just becomes background noise.
  Sharice Davids is flooding the airwaves with ads that are completely fraudulent and can't possibly be true.
   The KC Star has a shocking story warning Dems about the ills of mail in voting.  What?
   The Royals season is on the line beginning Tuesday night with 6 games to go.  Analysts are bashing Travis Kelce for being out of shape and unfocused.  And KU coach Lance Leipold is pleading with his fan base to hang in with them after a 1-3 start.

Defense Saves Chiefs, Mahomes Back to Basics, CFB Struggles, Royals Still Have Hope, Stan Weber's Analysis

    The Chiefs defense stepped up big in support of the NFL's 18th ranked quarterback, Patrick Mahomes.  Yes, you read that right.  Mahomes says he's going back to basics to fix fundamentals while the defense carries the day stopping Atlanta on downs twice in the 4th quarter with the game on the line.  We'll break it all down along with Mizzou, K-State and KU struggling with Stan Weber.
   Also... somehow, the Royals have lost 7 in a row and would be in the playoffs if they started today and our Final Final is a crazy bag of mixed polls on the presidential race.

   A Dem fundraiser from KC has penned a piece for Newsweek why she has left the party after what she saw at their convention in Chicago.  This should be heard by every American.
   Johnson County, Kansas has botched 43,000 mail in ballots they sent out but they've got a plan to correct it.  They will ask the post office for help.  You can't make this stuff up.
  The Royals get swept by the Tigers and look like they are about to blow their whole season.
