Chiefs Extend Awful Weekend, AFC Playoffs Set, KU is Back Baby, Snow Daze in KC, Election Certifies Monday

   The Chiefs sat on their plane Saturday for four hours because of icy conditions, got drilled by the Broncos 38-0 on Sunday and will spend the night in Denver and come home Monday.  This was one long, awful weekend but it's all worth it as the Chiefs are the one seed and will watch a whole bunch of teams get knocked out next weekend.
   Denver's reward is to visit Buffalo in the first round as the the playoff picture is all set.  We'll share some thoughts on the matchups.
   Holy Smokes KU must have been sick of hearing about how they can't win on the road anymore as Bill Self's squad DOUBLES UP Central Florida.  This was an epic beatdown for the ages.  Cats and Tigers both lose but one loss isn't nearly as bad as the other.
   Let it snow, snow, snow.  We all have our own challenges with this crazy storm that roared through and may have even set a couple records along the way.
   Monday is election certification which means its ok to celebrate January 6 and our Final Final is one crazy punishment for finishing last in fantasy football.

Mahomes Snub Predictable, Self Takes Nasty Spill at Gas Pump, CFP Faves are Out, Stan Weber Brings It

   Patrick Mahomes is 15-1 this year and didn't make the Pro Bowl.  This after Lamar Jackson was the MVP a year ago based on winning 13 games and getting the #1 seed.  Maybe Patrick Mahomes just isn't black enough to get the awards... or maybe it's just Chiefs fatigue.  But it's glaring.  Mahomes has been brilliant in come from behind wins this year and it just seems a like a given to most people.  Imagine leaving MJ out of an NBA All Star Game or Tiger out of the Ryder Cup.  Ridiculous. 
   KU basketball coach Bill Self takes a nasty, bloody fall while pumping gas in Lawrence.  It sounds like it's a real blessing he's ok and back to work.
   The teams that got a bye in the first round of the College Football Playoff all lost.  What's going on here and does it apply to the Chiefs this time?  Stan Weber is here to cover all the pigskin in our Football Feast conversation.
  Then, the CEO of Allstate really steps in it with a video he recorded for the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans after the terrorist attack.

   Terror came to Bourbon Street as New Year's partiers were mowed over by truck and gunned down by an American that has pledged allegiance to ISIS.  The FBI first told us this was not a terrorist attack saying it was an "event."  It's time for us to all come clean and share truth with Americans.
   A new survey shows a huge majority of America's biggest companies are getting ready to ramp up operations in the USA as Trump takes office.
   Live on CNN New Year's Eve a comedian makes fun of the network's low viewership.  We finally got a great College Football Playoff game thanks to Arizona State's star running back but most of it has been a dud.
   KU looks flat losing it's first conference opener in hoops since 1991.  And Chiefs backups will take center stage on Sunday in Denver.

   Donald Trump's Chief of Staff is Susie Wiles and she's known in the admin as the Ice Maiden.  On Monday, she slapped down everyone nominated for a cabinet position with a stern reminder to shut up and do what Trump says.  Wow this is going to be fun.
   Mayor Q makes a bold prediction for the Chiefs and Royals efforts to build new ballparks in 2025.
   A driver in the Northland gets popped doing 107 miles and hour... you won't believe why and the mistake he made getting caught.
   Brady Cook ends his storied career at Mizzou going 21-5 in the final two years after beating Iowa in the Music City Bowl 27-24.  What  a winner this young man is.
   Andy updates the fans in injury and playing status for players this week.  K-State gets a win over a ranked team to start Big 12 hoops.  KU welcomes the greatest player Bill Self has ever recruited and we have a New Year's Eve special for you.  It's a song of the year that's a beat down of socialism and a back story about the artist refusing to edit the song.  Let's go!

Mizzou Finale Set to Kick, Jimmy Carter Dies at 100, KC Streetcar Ripoff, Chiefs Three-peat Odds Low, Denver or Cincy?, Drew Lock Has Day, Gracie's Boy Toy

   The Music City Bowl is set to kickoff Monday and marks the final time Brady Cook is under center for the Missouri Tigers.  While trying to convince everyone how important it is for Mizzou to get back to back 10 win seasons, coach Eli Drinkwitz let out the truth.  It's glorious.
   39th president Jimmy Carter has died at the age of 100.  History will remember him well as a human being but if we're being fair, we should never forget how bad he was at his job.
   All those empty streetcars sliding around KC actually charge big money to put your business logo on them, wait until you hear how much it costs according the the KC Biz Journal.
   The Chiefs are computer faves to win the Super Bowl but that still makes them a longshot at this point.  I've got the percentage chance they pull off the three-peat.

   Mr. Wonderful, Kevin O'Leary from Shark Tank, is Canadian-American and loves a lot of what he's hearing from Trump and how it will benefit our friends north of our border.  In fact, O'Leary is so serious he says he's got an idea for Trump that sounds like a business merger that most Canadians think is a great idea, too.
   Word is getting out that one huge priority for Trump is passing election law through Congress in the first 100 days.  This is going to be hard but it's a very simple concept.  I've got details on why Trump wants to make election day a national holiday and how he is going to issue voter ID's to all our citizens.
   K-State's defense was so bad in the first half of the Rate Bowl against Rutgers you may have turned the game off.  If you did, you missed a record setting night by a new look KSU offensive scheme featuring the youngest skill players in America.  If this is a preview of next year... look out.

   It's pretty obvious the Chiefs have just been toying with the NFL and the numbers now prove it.  The Chiefs are playing their best football when it matters most.... in fact... we'd call it flawless except for the stupid penalties because of cockiness.  This team is the one seed and ready to rock.  Even Andy was living it up in a Santa suit.  Why not?
   Trump pens a Christmas letter to America and the world that is just so spectacularly Trump it may be your favorite present this holiday season.  We share it with you.
   And airliner crashes and kills dozens after it was apparently shot down in a Russian war zone as a mistake.
   Then, CNN's top conservative Scott Jennings wins a 2024 award and is described perfectly for the work he did during the presidential campaign.  

Merry Christmas from the Football Feast!

   There's only one way to really get ready for Christmas and that's to talk a little football.  Make that a LOT of football.  Stan Weber is here to preview the Chiefs/Steelers, talk #1 seed, dial up some KSU and MU bowl game scouting reports and maybe take a shot at the College Football Playoff.

Chiefs Locked In Against Texans, One Win From One Seed, MU-Illinois Thriller, Charlie Woods Aces on TV, Trump at AmFest, Biden's Nap Controversy, KC Man Wins Millions

   The Chiefs looked focused and playoff ready Saturday beating the Texans 27-19 and it looks like everyone on the team has a role.  KC has now won 19 of 20 since that Christmas Day loss a year ago and this time they can wrap up the #1 seed in the AFC with a win.
   Mizzou and Illinois played a thriller in the Braggin' Rights game in St. Louis.  KU dismantles Brown and K-State is circling the drain after a loss to Wichita State.
   In the father/son golf tourney this weekend, Tiger Woods played with his son Charlie.  On live national tv... the younger Woods got his first hole in one.  What a moment.
   Trump takes the stage at AmFest in Phoenix and throws down on the woke.  A story about Joe Biden taking a nap on Air Force One as grieving widows waited for him is understandably upsetting.  And a man in NKC wins millions by scratching off a Missouri Lottery ticket.

   Patrick Mahomes isn't even considered injured anymore and is considered a full go for Saturday as we stand by everything we said here about what transpired last Sunday.  Time to put the drama in the rear view mirror and get busy finding a way to win two more games.
   Hollywood Brown has been cleared to play and has a "good chance" to get on the field Saturday.  Stan Weber is here to give us the key matchups in this game... and the four College Football Playoff games in our Football Feast.
