Royals All in at Trade Deadline, Salvy First to Know, Butker Meets w/Trump, Canada Tariffs Hit Hard, Kamala Stumbles, Liz Tumbles, Song of Week

   The Royals spoke loud and clear at the trade deadline that they will not sit still.  The Royals have added outfield help for this year and pitching for now and the next couple years.  In the process, we wave goodbye to Freddie Fermin who is very close to Salvador Perez.  That's why, right after Fermin, Salvy was the first to know about the trade.
   Harrison Butker spoke at a news event with President Trump at the White House and is perfect for his new presidential role.
   The tariff deadline passed as Trump worked out a couple last minute deals.  China has two more weeks, Mexico gets a 90 day agreement as we work to finalize all the details and Canada get hammered with 35% and really harsh words from Trump.  
   Kamala Harris has no answers on late night tv, Liz Warren falls on the Senate floor and our Song of the Week is a mulligan.

KC Media Fails on HSI Raids, Obama Must Be Shocked, Dunkin's Golden Genetics Ad, R's Best Win of Year, Schottenheimer Goes Old School, KU Schedule Kiss

   We had a wild day in our neighborhood yesterday as Homeland Security, NOT ICE, raided a Mexican restaurant a couple blocks away from us.  Protesters showed up and it was a total freak show.  What's worse?  The KC media botched this story on so many levels its frightening.  It was not an ICE raid, the restaurant was not in danger of burning to the ground and there was not panic or disorder.  I was there.  I have the truth for you.
   Barack Obama must be shocked he was wrong when he said the days of 3% GDP increases are gone in America and the new standard is 1%.  Remember that gem?
   Dunkin has an ad out with a sexy male actor just days after the Sydney Sweeney jeans commercial talking about her genes.  This dude says his genes help him have a golden summer with his genetic ability to tan.  Oh boy, here we go again.
   The Royals get their best win of the year, 1-0 in  10 innings and now face the trade deadline at 5:00pm.  Brian Schottenheimer made players, and so coaches, run wind sprints at practice on Wednesday.  KU has a very easy Big 12 schedule this football season and a pair of famous liberals are hooking up in Canada.

   It's becoming a trend for Missouri Senator Josh Hawley to offer up ideas that sound just like a democrat.  His latest is poorly timed and needs to be tossed to the back burner.
   ICE is looking for 10,000 new agents and employees and they are offering a $50k signing bonus to join. Count me in on this program... let's get the best of the best.
   President Trump's granddaughter Kai is a college golfer for the University of Miami and has signed her first NIL contract.  In the ad, she takes a fun dig at grandpa pitching an energy drink that's partially owned by Travis Kelce.
   Kelce and QB Patrick Mahomes got a chance to preview the steaks at their new 1587 Steakhouse in KC.  I have only one question.  What type of ketchup will Mahomes have on the menu to put on his steaks?
   The Royals are hanging in there despite a decimated starting pitching staff as they welcome a 37 year old former super star to the mound.  Former KU hoopster Marcus Morris is arrested for felony fraud at a Florida airport and our Final Final is a fish versus a Tesla.
 

Football Feast: Will Trump Make College Football Great Again?

   President Trump has signed an executive order banning third parties from paying college athletes to attend a school.  NIL is still in play beginning next year but paying just to select a school is supposedly out the window or your school risks losing federal funding.  Stan's back to discuss IF this will work and where college football is headed with expanding conferences and a power play between the SEC and the Big Ten.

Football Feast 2025: Chiefs Regroup, Tigers New QB, Cats Eye Week Zero, KU New Stadium

   The Football Feast is back in a big way as all the teams around KC have reason to believe this year is about to be epic.  The Chiefs look to improve on a season that had them on the brink of history, Mizzou looks for another 10 win season with a new QB, K-State has the most accomplished player in is class at the helm and KU finally gets to play some home games with the coolest end zones in the Big 12.

Bill Self Wears Catheter to Coach, Drinkwitz Gets $ for Assistants, Powell Visit Surprises, Chuck E. Cheese Arrested, Remembering Hulk Hogan

   We learned Thursday that Bill Self was taken to the hospital again for another heart procedure making it at least three times in four years.  A full recovery is expected after two more stents were inserted.  But what we didn't know is that Self has been coaching with a PICC line... a catheter to deliver medicine and nutrition to his heart.  We have the details and the ask the big question about this legendary coach.
   In Columbia, Eli Drinkwitz gets a long contract extension but didn't take much of a raise.  Intstead, he got double the amount he can pay his assistants.  You have to love this guy.
  Trump is headed to Scotland for five days after touring the Federal Reserve HQ and Jerome Powell on Thursday.  We were surprised there weren't more fireworks.
   Chuck E. Cheese was hauled out of the famous pizza place in Florida and arrested by police.... right in front of all the kids.

   The reaction from the same media that promoted Trump/Russia collusion for years is now suddenly saying there's nothing to see there and we shouldn't even be talking about it.  Incredible... but predictable.
   Missouri Senator Josh Hawley is escorted off stage after terrorist supporting pro-Palestine protesters interrupt his speech.  If these people aren't citizens, they should be sent to Alligator Alcatraz immediately.
   Ravens coach John Harbaugh flat out shrinks a reporter giving him a hard time for visiting Trump at the White House.  The Royals take two of three from the Cubs as Salvy makes more history.  Now a huge series with Cleveland looms.  
   NFL financials are revealed by the Green Bay Packers and let's just say business is good.  And NASCAR makes a huge announcement about joining forces with the Navy.
 

KU Kills Pronouns, Tariff Deals Set, Trump Can't Go Back, ESPN's Bad Start, Adam Sandler Praises Kelce, Salvy's Sweet Moment, OP Hates Royals

   After the Kansas Board of Regents ordered all DEI eliminated from state universities there was still a question if KU would try to resist the directive.  But on Tuesday, KU Chancellor Doug Girod issued a memo to all employees emphatically directing them to dump pronouns and a whole bunch of other crazy stuff by July 31.  What a great day for KU!
   Tariff deals are in place now with the Philippines and Japan.  The deal with Japan is massive and unprecedented and the Philippines deal is gloriously lopsided in the favor of USA.  
   Trump unloaded on Barack Hussein Obama Tuesday indicating he's guilty of treason and every other word you can think of and they have Obama "stone cold."   Well, there's no backing off this now.
   ESPN has started its football coverage, normally very good, in terrible fashion.  We have examples featuring the Chiefs and Cowboys.
   Adam Sandler is starring in Happy Gilmore 2 beginning Friday on Netflix and had some really great comments about Travis Kelce in the movie.
   Salvy's two home runs Monday night have a really great side story as he took two boys out of the stands after the game and gave them bats.  They were boys he didn't know and this story is the stuff of legend.
   The two candidates running for Mayor of Overland Park both indicate the Royals at 119th and Nall is unwanted by their residents.  One candidate goes as far as to say over 95% of people in the area hate it.
  And our Final Final is the SMU football coach blasting the SEC.

Hunter Unleashed, Congress v Obama, Newt Corrects Numbers, Salvy Hits Two More, Media Down on Chiefs, B12 Rejects $250M

   It's almost unthinkable the son of a just departed president could be as unhinged as Hunter Biden.  The former first son is sitting down for interviews and firing shots at everyone else in the democrat party and it's glorious.  Oh, and he's not doing his dad's legacy any favors in the process despite the fact he's trying to help.
   House Speaker Mike Johnson says he's not afraid to investigate Barack Obama for his role in operation Russia Hoax.  But Johnson stops way short of making any promises.
   Newt Gingrich has written a brilliant column showing how the Congressional Budget Office works against Republicans, and especially Mr. Trump.  Wait until you hear the numbers.
   Salvy hit two more bombs as the Royals blast the Cubs.  Man, when this guy is hot, the Royals are hard to beat.  What a legend.
   We are usually a big fan of Colin Cowherd but wait until you hear why he thinks the Chiefs will finish third in the division this year.
  The Big 12 rejects $250 million from the University of Memphis to join the league and we remember one of the stars of the Cosby Show.

   Chiefs camp has opened in St. Joe and they've opened with a flurry of news stories.  From Mahomes turning 30, to Rashee Rice owing $1million to another $90million contract we have all the info to get you started for 2025.
   The Royals avoid the sweep in Miami as Salvy has a big day.  And it was another game Manager Q tried to do his best to keep KC from winning.
   Scottie Scheffler wins the Open Championship and he's clearly an alien.  Nobody plays golf like this guy.... it's incredible.
   DNI Tulsi Gabbard says Barack Obama "manufactured" the Russia hoax against Donald Trump and now the DOJ may go after them all.  I have some really strong thoughts on how to proceed.
   President Trump wants the Washington Redskins and Cleveland Indians back.  I want the SM North Indians back.  Let's go!
   And Leavenworth has an offer to ICE to open a facility that would operate like Alligator Alcatraz AND create jobs and make money for the city.
